The Beverly Beach Camptown is a great beachfront campsite in Florida. They have all the amenities that you would expect from a modern RV park, including WiFi, full hookups (with a 50 amp service), two laundry facilities, 3 bathhouses and an onsite shop selling everything from coffee to fishing gear.

One of the highlights of this site is the four private beach walkways you can use, so you can have direct access to the beach from your RV. Even the non premium sites have an oceanview.

This site is in the middle of St. Augustine (32 miles to the North) and Daytona beach (30 miles to the South), so there are plenty of attractions nearby.

Why we like this resort

Turtle beach is really affordable and still has the basic amenities you would expect like WiFi and full hookups with 20, 30 or 50 amp electrical outlets. They also have coin-operated laundry and hot showers.

The park has its own lagoon and has a launch pier for motorized and non motorized boats, perfect if you have brought a kayak. It also has a playground and it’s own pathway that leads you out to the beach.

Turtle Beach also has a free trolley service that goes straight to Siesta Beach on the Gulf of Mexico, which is one of the top rated beaches in the state.

It’s called turtle beach because if you are lucky enough you can spot loggerhead and green turtle nests on the beach from May to October.

Why we like this resort

Camp Gulf is packed with amenities, which justify the higher price tag. The site has two heated swimming pools with a water slide, hot tub and it’s own casting lake. There is also a basketball court, shuffleboard, carpet ball, bean bag toss, Xbox and many more games.

There is the usual WiFi, cable, 22 bathrooms, full hookups and laundry facilities. Also on site is an activity centre, camp store and they even hold events for your entertainment. You can also hire golf carts, beach carts, segways, yolo boards, wagons and pedal carts so there is something for everyone at this site, you won’t be bored.

Not only does the RV park have all the above for you to pick from, the location is superb. It’s on Florida’s Panhandle, and has direct access to a stunning white sandy beach. You won’t be disappointed with the location.

If you are into fishing it is in one of the top fishing locations in the world – Destin.

Why we like this resort

Carrabelle has the usual amenities with full hookups, 30/50 amp power, laundry facilities, WiFi and cable. Each RV site has a picnic table too which is a nice touch.

If you are RVing with your fur baby then this is a great site, it’s really pet friendly and you can take your dogs on the beach. They also have a fenced dog run and pet play area.

There is an onsite clubhouse with games like cornhole, it has a swimming pool with a large deck and covered pavilion.

If you’ve been out fishing all day, there is a fish cleaning station on site where you can prepare your catch for the BBQ. The little touches like this and the picnic tables make this site a really friendly and pleasant place to stay.

It’s also in a great location; it’s nicknamed the Forgotten Coast, because the beaches are less crowded and quieter than other places in Florida.

A great site for fishing, there are plenty of red drum, whiting, flounder and trout you can catch from the banks of the river or along the beach.

This site is also great for snorkeling, surfing and windsurfing.

Dr. Julian G. Bruce St. George Island State Park Campground is in a fantastic secluded location, on a barrier island. If you are a nature lover and wanting a peaceful paradise then this is the perfect site for you. If you are after a luxury site full of amenities then this is probably not the place for you.

The park has basic amenities including hot showers, restrooms, wheelchair access, picnic pavilion and charcoal grills. There is also a playground and boat launch.

The jewel in the crown of this park is the nature, it’s a great destination for beachgoers, bird-watchers and anglers, offering spectacular Gulf of Mexico sunsets and the best stargazing in the Panhandle.

On the gulf side of the island, are stunning blue waters and miles of sugary white sands, and if you’re lucky you might catch sight of a pod of dolphins.

Navarre beach is beautiful and quiet, with white sandy beaches and emerald waters.

Fort Clinch State Park is located close to Fernandina Beach, I know, it’s not a beach front site but it is pretty cool. It’s located in a Civil War-era fort, it even has a row of cannons that look across the St. Mary’s River into Georgia. The cannons are kept in testimony to the strategic importance of Fort Clinch during the Civil War. 

You can explore the fort’s many rooms, galleries and grounds, and learn about the life of a Union soldier through unparalleled living history programs. The first weekend of every month a soldier garrison fires cannons and demonstrates other battlefield skills. The perfect park for a history buff, and it’s pretty close to the beach too.

Little Talbot State Park is another one for nature lovers, is located on Little Talbot Island and is a beautiful underdeveloped barrier island that has more than five miles of pristine beaches and three miles of bike trails.

There is an abundance of wildlife in the area so great for wildlife spotters and nature lovers.
